隨著行動結合在地化應用的崛起， 最近可以看到不少相關的startup冒出頭， 不只是美國， 連德國在這一方面也不落人後， 企圖率先搶攻當地市場。 Gigalocal從柏林出發， 意在於替人們解決生活中的瑣事， 藉由在地化的crowdsourcing(外包)， 讓用戶可以將極繁瑣的小事， 甚至是迫在眉睫的任務， 交給地理位置相近的眾人協助完成。閒著沒事想要賺小錢的人， 也可以在平台上搜尋任務， 所謂「遠親不如近臨」的概念， Gigalocal套用在手機app上。
